Magento Live UK is officially in full swing today, but the Magento fever could be felt for the last two days within the borders of City of London. Monday was a day full of activities; while partner meetings were being held in the afternoon, Magento developers were busy taking their Developer Certification exams throughout the day. The day ended with a warm-up community welcome event sponsored by WebShopApps and ebizmarts at the stylish Abacus for a get-together over drinks. It was a great way to catch-up and meet new members from the Magento community.

Gary Forman, the Head of Product Marketing, opened the conference with his humorous anecdotes. Roy Rubin took the stage afterwards with his keynote speech followed by John Lunn, EMEA Director of Innovation, PayPal, who discussed the current status of online payment systems.

After a short refreshment break, the breakout sessions kicked-off with Kian Gould of AOE Media presenting scaling Magento in the cloud for Angry Birds in the technology track; while Charles Nicholls of SeeWhy presented the path to purchase in the business track.

Throughout the conference, attendees were busy dropping into one of the breakout sessions or checking the latest offerings from our sponsors. While attendees were enjoying the session offerings and either catching-up with fellow Magento peeps or meeting new ones, conversations are already trending in anticipation to the after party.

Shortly after the conference winds down, the After Party door will open at the popular Amber Bar, a short walk from the Conference Centre.

If you are attending MagentoLive, don’t miss this chance to mingle with the Magento team, and network with over 400 leading eCommerce merchants, partners, and developers at the first MagentoLive conference in London! We would also like to thank our After Party sponsors PayPal and Nexcess for making this fun event possible!
